New Peugeot 508 RXH with AWD Diesel-Electric Hybrid Drivetrain Takes on Audi’s A4 Allroad Quattro


Only a week after we brought you spy shots of Peugeot’s high-riding 508 SW, and the French carmaker released the first official photos of the production model that will carry the RXH moniker, ahead of its world premiere at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in September of 2011.

The new nameplate isn’t the only thing that differentiates Peugeot’s new crossover from the rest of the brand’s Outdoor models as the 508 RXH comes with all-wheel drive, courtesy of the Hybrid4 diesel-electric hybrid drivetrain.

Point, Click and Hold: Peugeot’s Novel Ad Campaign Makes Users Concentrate on Their Computer Screens


Ever see one of those stupid competitions where a group of people try and see who can keep their hands on a car or a truck the longest, and the person who does actually wins that car or truck?

If you haven’t, there’s a documentary called Hands on a Hard Body that covers this in detail, but suffice to say it’s like watching American Idol if all the contestants were unemployed hicks and weren’t required to do anything but stand up there on stage.

So French carmaker Peugeot, never being one to shy away from reinventing something old for the internet age, took the concept and turned it into an interactive webpage.

SCOOP: Peugeot Trying Out New High-Riding 508 Outdoor


It has only been a few months since Peugeot spun out its newly designed 508 mid-size model in both saloon and Station Wagon formats, but the French acarmaker is already working on a new derivative inspired by its high-riding 207 Outdoor model.

Our spy photographers snagged a prototype version of the 508 Outdoor testing on European roads. Even though Peugeot’s full-body plastic wraps leave much to the imagination, it is obvious that the car rides on a jacked up suspension.

Peugeot Announces Special Edition RCZ Asphalt for the UK


Peugeot has opened the order books for a new limited edition version of its funky looking RCZ sports coupe. The United Kingdom will receive only 75 right-hand drive examples of the RCZ ‘Asphalt’ with pricing set at £29,995 (equal to US$47,840 and €33,540) a piece.

The Asphalt is based on the top-of-the-range GT trim featuring a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 200-horses.

Peugeot Flux Concept




The concept car Flux, designed by Mihai Panaitescu, won the 4th Peugeot design competition. The car was designed to achieve universal pleasure by adapting different lifestyle situations. The theme of this fourth competition, summed up by acronym P.L.E.A.S.E. Innovate!, has inspired creativity of web based designers throughout world, resulting in more than 4,000 projects.

Complimenting present automotive aspirations, Flux has shown the theme’s most relevant illustrations, since its concept corresponds to a type of car that achieves utter driving Pleasure through its Light weight and Efficiency, while at the same time remaining Accessible through the Simplicity and Ecology of its design.

Peugeot HYbrid3 Evolution Concept




At the 2009 Milan International Cycle and Motorbike Show, Peugeot will present a new scooter concept: The Peugeot HYbrid3 Evolution.

Practical and safe thanks to its three-wheel drive capability and offering a high level of performance (36 kW / 49 bhp), it offers original versatility and emits only 48 g/km of CO2 in the combined cycle or zero in electric mode, thanks to its innovative hybrid technology.

A further illustration of Peugeot's innovative mobility solutions Visitors to the 67th Milan International Cycle and Motorbike Show will discover, from 10 to 15 November 2009, the Peugeot HYbrid3 Evolution concept.

Peugeot 207 SW





With the new 207, Peugeot, the European leader in the B2 segment in 2008, once again demonstrates its small car expertise. By the end of the first half of 2009 Peugeot will have completely modernised all its vehicles in this segment.

The Peugeot 107, the ideal urban car in the B1 segment, compact and easy to drive, was given a new design at the front in January 2009 that added a touch of class to its young and trendy image.

In March 2009, the Peugeot 206+ was introduced to continue the Peugeot 206 legend with a new goal: that of a versatile entry level vehicle in the B2 segment with proven qualities and a refreshingly modern design featuring all the current Peugeot styling cues.

Peugeot 5008




The Peugeot 5008, after the Peugeot 3008 crossover, is Peugeot's second new product offering in the large M1 vehicle segment. This compact five to seven seater people carrier offers a number of significant benefits that will enhance and strengthen Peugeot's presence in the family car market. After the Peugeot 308 SW and the recent 3008 crossover, the Peugeot 5008, with a length of 4.53 m and a height of 1.64 m, is a natural extension to Peugeot's current offerings in the M1 segment.

Through the Peugeot SR1 Concept, the Marque reveals the stylistic design trends for its future models. The concept car embodies the new world of Peugeot, reflected by the new Lion badge which adorns its body.

Dynamic, balanced, sensual, with an exclusive high-tech interior, this "dream car" explores and reinterprets the theme of the "Grand Touring Car".

The use of HYbrid4 technology allows the Peugeot SR1 to offer an engineering specification in keeping with its styling: 230 kW (313 bhp) with emissions of only 119 g/km of CO2 (0 in electric mode), 4 wheel drive and steering.... for an ideal blend of excitement and efficiency.


Peugeot 308 GTi




Peugeot returns to the world of the GTi with the launch of the Peugeot 308 GTi, a sporty hatchback for a new era: enjoyable for day to day driving and environmentally-friendly. Available exclusively as a 5 door model only, it combines a modern synthesis of versatility and driveability.

The Peugeot 308 GTi has a sporty nature that is in tune with our current times:

  • well-heeled athleticism for day-to-day driving enjoyment and a high level of onboard comfort at all engine speeds but, stopping short of being a specialist vehicle, yet still able to offer real excitement when its "driver" asks more of it.
